Ascona-Locarno Run Chauffeur
An autumn race on Lake Maggiore, a chauffeur for the Ascona-Locarno Run
Each year, generally in mid-October, the Ascona-Locarno Run brings the shores of Lake Maggiore to life: a 21 km half marathon, a 10 km run and Nordic walking event, a 5 km Sunset Run on Saturday evening and a kids' run, starting and finishing on the Piazza Grande, amid the autumn colours of Ticino.
Runners with their families, guests of Ascona's hotels, executives who run the half marathon then move straight into meetings: we are an independent chauffeur service, with no link to the race's organisation, and we know the weekend's logistics, from the morning's closed roads to the return after the effort.

Punctual at the start pen
Half marathon, 10 km, Saturday's Sunset Run: the chauffeur sets the drop-off to the exact time of your start pen, before the roads close around the Piazza Grande.
Closed roads on race morning
The race setup closes the accesses around the Piazza Grande on race mornings; we know the detour routes and the drop-off points still reachable.
Family shuttle for the full weekend
Between your hotel in Ascona, one or two crossing points on the course and the finish, family and supporters follow the runner without giving up the comfort of a private vehicle.
Return after the effort
The chauffeur collects you at the finish, with a change of clothes on board if needed, for a direct return to the hotel without standing in October's crisp morning air.

Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the most direct for Ticino, around 1 hour 15 from Locarno. Zurich (ZRH), via the Gotthard tunnel, is reached in 2 hours 15 to 2 hours 30; we cover both links.
Yes. While you run, the chauffeur drives family and supporters between the hotel, one or two crossing points on the course and the finish, with no parking to manage.
The chauffeur collects you at the finish area, with a change of clothes on board if needed, for a direct return to your hotel without waiting in Ticino's crisp October morning air.
It runs in the late afternoon on Saturday, ahead of the half marathon and the other Sunday morning races. The chauffeur simply adjusts the drop-off to the Saturday evening time.
