Business aviation and the FBOs
EuroAirport handles business aviation through dedicated terminals with on-site customs and direct ramp access. Jet Aviation Basel, Air Service Basel and Swissport Executive Aviation all operate on the field. Where the FBO allows it, ground transport can meet passengers at the aircraft; otherwise the pickup happens in front of the executive terminal.
Basel is also a maintenance and VIP completions hub, which changes the profile of who passes through. AMAC Aerospace is headquartered at the airport with five hangars, and Nomad Aviation holds a dedicated hangar with seven thousand square metres of ramp. A good share of the movement here is crews and owners' representatives staying several days for a delivery or a shop visit, not passengers in a hurry.
