Private chauffeur rates in Switzerland
Three ways of counting, no surprise at the end.
Our prices rest on three models only, and you know which one applies before you get in. Under 25 kilometres, it is a flat rate. Beyond, it is per kilometre. When you keep the car, it is per hour.
The figures below are estimates to confirm, not firm quotes: the actual route, the hour, the season and the luggage volume can move them. We confirm the price before the journey, never after.
The three models
Local transfer — up to 25 km
A flat price per vehicle, whatever the detail of the route. This covers an airport to the city centre, a hotel to a station, a dinner across town.
Long distance — beyond 25 km
The price is calculated per kilometre, by vehicle. This covers runs to the resorts, between cities, or to distant airports.
Hourly hire
The car and the chauffeur stay at your disposal. This is the formula for days of meetings, roadshows and stays where the programme is not yet settled.

Some journeys, priced
Calculated with the grid above, on the real distance of each link. Click through for the per-vehicle detail.
The Tarentaise resorts carry a floor price
Courchevel, Val d'Isère and Val Thorens — everything deep in the valleys past Albertville — do not follow the plain per-kilometre calculation. The route crosses into France, with tolls and customs formalities, and the mountain road at the end costs far more than the distance suggests. Those destinations therefore carry a floor price per vehicle. Megève, Chamonix and Annecy, easier to reach, stay on the normal grid.
Maybach
The Maybach is booked on request. Reckon on double the S-Class rate for the same route: it is a different car, a different availability, and it is not always free.
WEF week has its own grid
During the World Economic Forum in Davos, the prices above do not apply. Demand far outstrips supply, access is regulated and the logistics are nothing alike. That week has its own dedicated grid, published separately.
See the WEF rate cardIncluded in the price
- Flight tracking and adjustment of the pickup time when the aircraft is late.
- Reasonable waiting linked to a flight or a train, with no standing-time charge.
- Arrivals hall meet and luggage assistance.
- Child seats, on request at booking.
- Water on board.
Charged on top
- Tolls and road vignettes on journeys abroad, passed on at cost.
- Extended waiting outside the scope of a flight delay, counted at the hourly rate.
- Unannounced extra stops that lengthen the journey significantly.
- Deep-night runs and certain public holidays, subject to availability.
Frequently asked questions
It is a local transfer, so a flat rate: the table above gives the amount per vehicle. The rule applies as long as the journey stays under 25 kilometres, which covers virtually every airport-to-centre link in Switzerland.
Beyond 25 kilometres. Below that it is the local flat rate; above it, the price is calculated per kilometre by vehicle. There is no grey zone and no double billing.
No, and we do not pretend otherwise. It is an estimate to confirm. The actual route, the hour, the season and the luggage volume can move it. We confirm the amount before the journey, never after.
Because the route crosses into France, with tolls and formalities, and ends on a mountain road that does not compare to a motorway. Courchevel, Val d'Isère and Val Thorens therefore carry a floor price per vehicle instead of the plain per-kilometre calculation. Megève, Chamonix and Annecy stay on the normal grid.
The vehicle's hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours. The table above gives the rate per vehicle. It is the cheaper formula as soon as a day holds several movements, and it saves explaining the programme at every leg.
Yes, entirely. Forum week has its own grid, well above the standard rate, because demand outstrips supply and access is regulated. It is published on a dedicated page. Outside that week, the grid on this page applies in Davos as anywhere else.
No, they are passed on at cost on journeys abroad. Flight tracking, reasonable waiting on a delay, the arrivals hall meet, child seats and water on board are included.
