The Bank for International Settlements brings central banks together every two months in Basel, in the tower at Centralbahnplatz 2 — a short walk from the station platforms. On those days the city fills with governors, their delegations and the committees the BIS hosts. Being late is not an inconvenience there: it is a session no one will run again for you.
Swiss Limo has no connection to the institution and claims none. We drive the people who travel to it: central bankers, economists, research teams, legal counsel, accredited press. The need is always the same — to be met at the aircraft, to arrive with margin, and not to have to make conversation.
Our chauffeurs work across Switzerland with a recent Mercedes fleet. Basel is reached as easily from EuroAirport, a quarter of an hour away, as from Zurich or Geneva when a private flight or a connection dictates another point of entry.
Arriving via EuroAirport
EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL) sits about 4 km from the centre, 15 to 20 minutes away. We track the flight number: a delayed aircraft moves the pickup without you having to warn anyone, and the wait is not billed as standing time.
Arriving via Zurich or Geneva
Zurich (ZRH) is about 85 km away, a 1 h 10 to 1 h 30 drive, and Geneva (GVA) about 251 km, 2 h 30 to 2 h 50. Both are worth booking ahead: on a BIS session, margin on the clock matters more than the price of the leg.
Hourly hire for the length of the session
A bimonthly meeting does not fit into one return trip. Hourly hire keeps the car and the chauffeur at your disposal for the day or half-day, between hotel, Centralbahnplatz and dinners. It is what most delegations take.
Discretion as the default
No name board unless you want one: we agree a meeting point and a neutral sign. The chauffeur does not comment on passengers, routes or destinations. What is said in the back stays in the car.
Delegations and multiple vehicles
A V-Class carries 7 passengers, a Sprinter up to 19. For a delegation moving as one group, we put several vehicles on the same schedule with a single point of contact for the whole arrangement.
Basel, where three borders meet
Basel touches France and Germany, and EuroAirport itself is Franco-Swiss with two exit sectors. Our chauffeurs cross the border daily: if your hotel, your dinner or your return flight sits on the French or German side, it changes nothing about the arrangement.

Every two months. These bimonthly meetings gather the governors and senior officials of the member central banks, usually in Basel. The three principal ones are the Global Economy Meeting, the Economic Consultative Committee and the All Governors' Meeting.
Centralbahnplatz 2, in the tower immediately next to Basel SBB station. It is one of the few international institution headquarters you can reach on foot from the platform — which does not remove the need for a car when you land at an airport with luggage and a tight schedule.

The BIS hosts the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the Committee on the Global Financial System, the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures, the Markets Committee, the Central Bank Governance Group and the Irving Fisher Committee, among others. Their sessions bring technical delegations to Basel throughout the year, outside the bimonthly calendar.
